South Lake Trailhead
Warm Springs Creek

About the Course
It’s not worth it unless you have to work for it! The marathon start is located in the parking lot when you enter the park. The first 2 miles are on a paved county road and will test your legs, as this is your biggest climb of the day. The course will then continue onto beautiful rolling single track trails. You will begin your return trip after reaching the Warm Springs Creek aid station, heading back the way you came, but finishing at South Lake Trail Head (50 mile start/finish). Remember to save some juice for the return trip, as this is a great opportunity to pick up some places! The race starts at 8:00 am.
There will be four on course aid stations for the marathon course. *The first aid station at South Lake Trail Head will be water only.
Island View and Warm Springs Creek aid stations will be stocked with the normal race fare, and will have GU Energy Gels, GU Liquid Energy and GU Roctane Energy Drinks.
Please monitor your fluid requirements carefully and note that there are fairly long stretches between aid. If it’s warm you will likely need more than one bottle in the afternoon. Every runner must carry at least one water bottle.
